Happy New Year everyone. I just want to say a big thank to everyone who has supported my blog since it started and those who have found me in 2011. It’s been quite a year and I hope to share some exciting news with you all in the next few weeks.
In the mean time the WordPress.com stats helper monkey has prepared a 2011 annual report for my whogivesamonkeys.com I’m thrilled with the figures.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

You see, there really is ‘only one Asha Tanna’, well done!
Hope you decide to start the blog on tumblr – all you need to do really is re-post these articles on there, for a start. And insert the odd gratuitous monkey picture, of course.

Congratulations, Urbanprimate. Let’s hope your column has the lifespan of Cheetah, as it’s always a fun, informative read! Here’s to you in 2012. PC

Thanks PC,
Although there are serious doubts among primatologists that “Cheetah” was 80 when he popped his clogs. Difficult to gauge from a photo but some have told me he’s more likely to have been younger than that. But there are always exceptions.
